Written as a play, this is the story of Delphine Kunkel's life growing up in the Polish-American town of Hamtramck, Michigan in the first half of the 20th Century as seen through the celebrations of the many important events in her life: Weddings, Baptism, First Holy Communion, Confirmation and Funeral.
Set in both the church where these events occurred and then in the reception hall where the events were celebrated, Delphine and her family tell the novel story of growing up in this unique little city.
